    Has anyone considered building a refractory based cooker? I don't know about the ceramics, but I do know how to build a vault oven..it's not too deep a stretch to see a tank lined with firebrick, or a castable refractory... It's something to think about...

    Nicely done! Try a pizza for breakfast, great for a romantic breakfast in bed..or to kiss up for forgetting an anniversary or something... White personal pizza made with fontina cheese, topped with quail eggs and a few crumbles of dried anduoille...then just before the pizza goes on to cook...

    I go out back and dig up a root, bring it inside, wash it peel it with a qweeper (Y'know, potato peeler? qweep qweep qweep...qweeper) slice it then run it through the blender...add a bit of water, maybe a tiny bit of vineger, but mostly eat it raw...on very rare beef.

    Nahh, they smoked over hickory on a hot maple fire for a couple hours, then into the dehydrator...gonna start the dryer again as i had to go to work yesterday... The Beef Q which I took to work was marginally well received...usually I get more than two marriage proposals...

    Yeah...that is my youngest and middlest...the bunny is a lionhead kit about 3 weeks old, they will be sold as pets...I will have a pair of New Zelands before too long...they will be the meat bunnies. Never thought of smoking rabbit..i'll have to try it...usually dredge and fry then make pan...

    In NM pretty much every grocery store has a roaster, think big bingo cage and a propane weed burner...the chiles are tumbled and roasted at the same time...the real benefit to this aside fromt he flame roasting is that done right, most of the skin flakes off...there is very little in this world...

    ok..decided to BBQ some beef today, so in snatching random chunks of meat out of the freezer to play with, I picked out an oyster roast to make biltong out of...made pretty much with the recipe in post 1 above, cut meat in 3/8 to 1/2 strips and will begin drying in the big dehydrator after a bit...
