    BIRTHDAY PRIME RIB

smoked half a rib roast we had left from New Year day. This time, used my new Thermapen that I gave to myself for the occasion. Turned out the best yet for our tastes. Absolutely perfect. Was pleasantly surprised that my Maverick matched up on the money with the new Thermapen. Here's a look...

    Smoked AVOCADO & MUSSELS!

Yes, Leah, that's our little porky Yorkie, (she's a bit chubby), named Isabel. We call her Izzy. I hope Yorkies aren't on your gourmet bucket list. :icon_lol:

I will NOT give up on my AMZNPS !

Here's my 2 cents on the subject, Beuler. I used to have a similar problem until I started setting my loaded AMNPS in the smoker during initial heat-up. When the smoker reaches my desired temp, I pull the AMNPS, light it until a good burn rate is obtained and back into the smoker. Haven't had...

    THERMOWORKS THERMAPEN

I did notice that, but I thought it was for open box units. Call me weird, but I never buy any refurbs or returned items of any kind. Thanks for the birthday wish. Fred

    THERMOWORKS THERMAPEN

    Smoked AVOCADO & MUSSELS!

Another fantastic looking exotic dish Leah. Would not surprise me to see a rattlesnake arm on that smoker to add to your alien recipes. I see you took the elephants garlic again. :Looks-Great: All kidding aside, very nice, Fred

LOW & SLOW NEW YEAR PRIME

Thanks Bill, Red, I forgot to mention about that roast, according to the label, that the cow was "born in Canada, raised in Mexico and harvested in Massachusetts". That beef was passed around more than Pamela Anderson at a stag party.. All in all, I'm still pleased with our whole day.

    New Year's Eve 2013 / 2014 Smoked Rib Roast with Q-Views & Temp Plot

I agree with you about the rub.....sometimes certain smokes don't need any more than good old salt and pepper. Looks good and appears to be a slice from mine. If I didn't know better...... Happy New Year! Fred
