    The highland will handle your backyard bbq with no problem. I purchased one a couple of weeks a go, fit a finish very good. If you are new to stick burners do a little research, and follow the directions on seasoning your new cooker. Have fun.

    Marylee's latest attempt with comp style chicken. Rubbed and ready. Old Rusty goes to work. Bird on. Halfway. Marylee applies an old style Virginia sauce. The breast are done. And legs are done. Interesting flavors, used white oak, maybe a stronger wood next time (hickory)...

    I would mod the gate, you will use the cooker more if you don't have to move it to cook. Have found the info on the website to be accurate. Too dark and rainy here to measure my cooker. Will check later.

    Try no basket, no briquettes, one chimney of lump with 3 or 4 splits of hardwood on top. Let it burn!
