    I don't like to just throw stuff in the trash to go to the land fill. I have a small vegetable garden that my grass clippings, etc go into to break down. Can I do that with the chips and chunks that I have used in the smoker and are now all burnt?

    I bought my first smoker yesterday. Master Forge at Lowe's. $148.00 minus 20% due to using a 20% off coupon from harbor freight. Yes, Lowe's will honor competitors coupons, including the one I used. Just made some fish for smoked fish dip and will make a top round with a rub for dinner.

    Got my Master Forge yesterday at Lowes. On sale $148.00 Smoked some talipia on a piece of cedar I had in my garage. Seasoned with only Old Bay seasoning. This will be used for smoked fish dip.

    Just found this site and it looks like I can learn a lot here. I just started smoking on my gas grill. Metal pan on one side with chips and water over one burner. Fish on the other side of the grill 225 degrees based on the thermometer in the lid. The fish was cooked but not much smoked flavor...
