We have had beautiful weather all week. I planned to clean the garage, clean the smoker, organize my smoking stuff planned on ribs tomorrow,
Then cold, rain, more cold, then winds and the snow.
I think I can clean the garage next week.
At least I can drink some coffee, read the forum, plan...
Omaha, Did you remove the GOSM valve? and are you using the GOSM burner or did you replace it?
I have been thinking that it may be a little safer (no blow outs) with a higher pressure, but have not had a chance to play with it.
Post a picture of your new toy. How much did you have to pay for it?
I have been scavaging for something like that, but really dont have the room for something that big. I think mine is like 25 x 30 x 40
One of the folks around here has a formula for that but he will need the inside dimensions.
I use a side burner off of a BBQ and a valve to keep it low. The problem is you have to be very careful not to blow the fire out when closing the door or a slight breeze is around.
I like the...
I would find one that the box is about the same size, and call that company.
I think I called the company that makes the ones they sell at Lowe's or mejers and priced them for my home built.
Or it may be time for a bigger smoker.
What went bad with it? They sometime get plugged with...
Welcome from another guy from the land of Lincoln or is it something else now?
What part of So IL are you from? Some of my family is from around Centralia.
Make sure you post up some qview!
I have two thoughts, a mega mega big kahuna, or the one I like better, is to leave it standing like it is and cut a long door in the side. put a removable grate in it, maybe a ball valve in the very bottom for a draft. You can weld in a pipe with a union to the fridge and use the top threads...
I have seen and heard folk talk about a rib rack.
Basically you cut the slab in half and stand them on edge. They look pretty cool. I have never used them myself. They have them at most places that sell grill accessories.
I think I saw these a few years back in a Budweiser promo/gift catalog on an airline in a catalog my oldest boy gets from Anheuser I will ask him after work.
That the trick my bro inlaw taught me for chickens and Turkey, he just adjusts the time/pound. They do tend to be a little salty, I may have to try the egg just raising off the bottom.
I messed around with a PID last fall and really like it. I was thinking about making some mods to it, but this may be a little better.
So it looks like I could monitor and change my smoker wirelessly from laptop, is that true?
The code thing is the only thing that I have a challenge with.
I did not see this posted anywhere here, and since it has a few marinades and sauces listed I thought it may be important.

Thank goodness Bud Light is not on the list.
Welcome to the best darn forum on the web, (at least in my opinion)
This is the place to ask the questions, and get a bunch of answers.
The folks around here sure have helped me jump start a great tasting hobby.
Be sure to take some pictures and post them (Qview) everyone around here likes...
I must say this does look like something to try. I have a family member who can not have anything with MSG in it. Does MSG contribute to the flavor of this recipe? I always thought it was more of a meat tenderizer.
