    Affordable Cooking Pellets

Thanks BackyardSmokin, What would I do with out friends like you. I'd be stuck paying way too much for pellets. That's what.   I looked for your name but couldn't find it. PM me with your info and the guys name and number.  I found his site on google and just need to fine tune it. I'd sure like...

    Pellet Fired UDS Build

Ned, If it were me I'd fix my smoke gen before I switched to a different brand of pellet. You don't need stainless pipes there black steel is way cheaper and doesn't have the problems that the galvanized does. Be sure to get a strong enough aquarium pump. Mine is the Laguna aeration kit for...

    Pellet Fired UDS Build

It looks like the smoke gen has a galvanized steel pipe. I would get the black steel instead of galvanized. I've herd bad things about mixing galvanized and heat.

    Pellet Fired UDS Build

If it still doesn't get enough smoke I would drill into the elbow of the cold smoke generator where it makes the right angle turn towards the drum and put a fish pump hose into it. Maybe that will get the smoke out of the generator for ya.

    Pellet Fired UDS Build

Now that you have the pellet hopper hooked up how's that cold smoke box working out for your meat smokes. I was talking to Dennis at Smoke Daddy and he was telling me that if I put a smoke generator on it I'm going to need to use a back draft kind because the hopper has a fan on it. I've ordered...

    Pellet Fired UDS Build

Ned, I ordered the same hopper from Smokedaddy:sausage: and making a UDS is my long range plan. Short range is putting it threw the bottom of my boxy ECB. Then build a smoke generator. After reading your thread I'm not sure I'll need it except for cold smoking.:sausage:

That's what I'm trying to come up with. I'm going to put the hoppers burner threw the bottom of my boxy two door vertical brinkmann. I thought I'd put the hopper on the left side because it has the smoke daddy logo on it. Kinda cool lookin'  with it's auger tube running underneath and the smoke...

BBQ Delight Red Ya, I called the OSH that's 1.5 Hrs away and they didn't have any. Well then why the hell does it say on the OSH linked system that you had 17 bags. It's too far to go to see if I'm dealing with a lazy person again so I'll just have to do with my two 20# and the 20 that's...

Hey Now ! From Napa, CA

The BBQ shin dig that started all of my Smokey madness was just over a month ago that I have spent a relatively sleepless night and was very punchy due to the self induced sleep deprivation all for the sake of good smoked pork butt.   I have been doing relentles research ever since and I have...

Hey Now ! From Napa, CA

My name is Eric and I like smoked anything. My very first out door cooking implement was a Thermos gas grill. Ya, I know Boo ! HIss ! but I still use it when I want to fire up some braughts or sausages. About 10 years ago I got a Weber 22" kettle and my favorite is a Brinkmann 2 door square...

New ~No Weld~ Charcoal Pan for my ECB

Here's some pix of my updated Brinkmann two door. The first pic is of my DIY build. Second is on the minion method basket I built. It works great. You just need to put a briquette touching at the end where it makes the turn and pile lump coal in the centers. This method lasts about 5.5 to 6...
