    Masterbuilt Gravity Feed

I’ve had the 560 since January I haven’t experienced any paint peeling. I’ve done both low and slow along with high heat cooks. I do use a piece of foil over the top of the hopper opening. The rotisserie is on the Home Depot website for $99 although it’s not available yet. I’ve heard of others...

    Ordered a Masterbuilt 560 today

It's much quicker than a 10 minute recovery time from my experience. Unless you're leaving it open for 5+ minutes it recovers pretty quickly.

    Anyone use the masterbuilt 560??

I had the same one with the MB cold smoker attachment. I have to say I didn't care for the flavor of smoke. It always seemed to be too bitter.

    Anyone use the masterbuilt 560??

Decent. Certainly more than a pellet smoker.

    Anyone use the masterbuilt 560??

Best to do it yourself. Took me about 2 hours. Use a magnetic screwdriver to install the lid handle.

    Anyone use the masterbuilt 560??

It's very versatile. I've just been adding wood chunks to the ash bin but you can also mix in with the charcoal on longer cooks. Great smoke flavor.

    Masterbuilt Gravity Feed

I haven’t had an issue with temps below 350. High heat grilling requires a little more attention.

    Masterbuilt Gravity Feed

No issues with burgers so far. The manifold is easy to clean. Certainly a quicker startup than a kettle isn’t it?

    Masterbuilt Gravity Feed

The MB has a sealed charcoal hopper with an ash bin. The 560 has been plenty big for my family of four but if you need to cook more than 6 pork butts it’s not for you. The larger model had been released to independent dealers but not sure why it’s not on the MB website. The MB Fan Facebook group...

    Cleaning the MBGF 560

Using a pressure washer doesn’t sound like a good idea. Too extreme. I wouldn’t even use a regular hose. Too much moisture. Not to mention you blasted away all the good seasonin.

Time for me to return to the charcoal side

I started with a WSM years ago. I then went to electric, pellet and now the Masterbuilt Gravity Series. The MB flavor profile matches the WSM in my opinion. There are no vents to adjust, no water pan and no charcoal chimneys. Dump in the charcoal, lump and or wood chunks, light a fire...

    MasterBuilt Gravity 560!

I put a piece of foil between the hopper gasket and lid to prevent the gasket from sticking. I haven’t had any issues with the lid reset. The lid has a sensor switch to let the grill know if it’s open or closed. Every time you open the lid you have to press the connect button if you want to use...

Masterbuilt 560 fuel lump vs briquettes

I use mostly briquettes. Lump definitely doesn't last as long due to the openings in the charcoal grates. I'm going to try 50/50 mix.

    MasterBuilt Gravity 560!

I haven't touched my RecTec since I got the MB560. The flavor is just so much better I don't see the point in using my RT anymore.

    Masterbuilt Gravity Feed

It does take awhile to cool down. Make sure you put the slides in right way after powering off. Also, empty the ash bucket as it holds residual heat. It will take you 4-5 times to remember to pull the slides. I usually cover mine before bed after shutting it down around 6pm. So I’d estimate 5...

    Charcoal Run

It’s possible. I’ve heard the cheaper stuff could be the cast offs of the same briquettes. Broken pieces etc.

    Charcoal Run

My local Lowes had these on sales for 70 cents a bag! Needless to say I bought them all. 50 bags.
