    Chris  Go up to the search in the upper left corner type in wood it has some great info there.Where I live I have to use wood you will not be able to get your hands on.Being a beginner I would stay with fruit woods as you do test smokes.I only use fruit woods mostly. Dan

    Chris  People smoke different meats at one time with no problems.Just remember to always keep your poultry from dripping on other meat.If you plan to use a strong wood like mesquite you will want to be selective on what meat you smoke.I would not mix fish with anything but I would not smoke or...

    Thanks I think the best thing was yesterday morning before I started a fire in it I checked the ambient temp it was at 68deg with the sun hitting it.So I am sure glad I can cold smoke Bacon and Ham at night with no problems.She will work as a Hot/Cold smoker year around. Dan

    I have Magic Jack on my computer sense it is hit and miss with are internet service here.It works ok with calling family and friends but for business it is not that great. If they put me on hold the phone call would cost more then a new therm.hahahahahaah Dan

    I tried unplugging it all day and resetting it nothing worked.I will in the next week call Maverick service and see whats up.I hate paying those oversea phone charges almost cheaper to throw it away and get another.hahahahahahah Dan

    I used my ET 733 for the first time today.........The probe for the smoker worked like a champ.The other probe for the meat was wacky all day and most of  the day it read LLL. Finally I unplugged the meat probe and just used the  thermapen every thing came out great. Dan
