As long as your smoker holds temp not much difference with 1 10lb butt and 4 10lb butts.Your variables will be getting your temp up with that much cold meat at the start also the difference in weight and thickness of each butt.If you do get a butt that wants to be hard headed and take longer...
What a fun looking build.Do not take my advice there are great builders on here that can help you with the correct specs.Ideas I do have if it was mine.I would build seperate FBs easier to control for different meats ,temps and wood options.

I drilled 2 - 1/4in holes in my smoker for my probes I figured i would just stuff a little piece of foil in the holes when I was smoking.Never have needed too works great.

They dont have wood barrels here or Oak in Colombia.
Drive less smoke the bigger butt leftovers are king.I smoked last Sunday a whole chicken 2 pork tenderloins and a small brisket we will eat on it all week.

You are welcome to send me that 400 litre barrel.You mite look on the search for UDS builds they would be about the size of a 200 litre to give you a comparison on size.Always easier to spread your meat out in a bigger smoker then packing it tight in a smaller smoker.That is just the way I think...
I have never heard or seen smoked meats being bad or having a problem with younger kids.I have 36 neices and nephews also 3 of my own.Every one has been eating Grilled or Smoked foods since they could chew.
This does not mean your child mite not have a allergic reaction.I cant eat or smell...
