    Pulled pork day

    I use when I inject, 3 parts Simply Apple juice, 1 part apple cider vinegar, some brown sugar, and a good dose of whatever rub you used. Works great....ps, taste sample before you inject to see if you need more rub or brown sugar

    Turned out great. A friend of mine needed pulled pork for a football party of 50 people. 4 whole butts fit on with no problem. One great cooker. Only mod I did was put high temp gaskets on top and bottom lid, Very fuel efficient.

    19 outside and smoking 30 lbs of butts in the Akorn. Glad I didn't waste the extra money on a ceramic grill, I've had my Akorn for obout a year and a half and have smoked tons of meat on it. Rock steady temps and all day cooks, no problem I'd buy another in a second.

    First but not last Tri-tip!

    Believe it or not the only place that sells TriTip around here (Erie Pa) is Walmart and believe it or not there pretty good. Once I tried TriTip, brisket moved to 2nd place. Great cut of beef.

    WOW,,Hot sauce injection

    I will be using this more often. The flavor was great with just a hint of hot sauce flavor and not spicy at all.
