18 1/2 hours later its finally done. cooked till internal of 160 sat basket and all in aluminum roast pan, covered with for then took internal to 205. came out perfect. that was my first try at it. i can see more in near future. gonna try a brisket next weekend. used about 16 pounds of pellets...
got the traeger fired up at 225. 9 1/2 pound pork butte just went on at 6:40. picked it up at local sparkle market for $20 plus tax will be eating good sometime tomorrow. this is my first one. any suggestions are appreciated. thanks jason
did some raweggs in shell today for first time in smoke hollow electric with the the smokai generator. temp was at 225 for 2 hours with smoke generator going whole time with apple pellets.
i bought a new smoke hollow electric smoker and found out it had a wide temp swing on tstat. solved that one with a pid control( been making them for a while casting my own bullets). it keeps temp within 5 degrees of set point.
