    Cooking bags

Funny how everybody thinks a little differently. I'm new to smoking and always try to keep things clean as possible. I've always used the oven bag trick instead of foiling because it's fast and easy and a hell of a lot cheaper than heavy duty foil. My stuff is good so far....I think.

    Brand aint the difference folks

RibWizzard I don't know you but I know of you. Your fabrication and design skills are legendary....between you and Dave Omak I don't know if there is a better source of detailed, truly expert advice/instruction. I spend many hours reading your threads. So you are not the average forum user...

    Brand aint the difference folks

This guy is sooooo right on the money. Lang this lang that...blah blah blah. You can make great cue in a hole in the ground. Knowing your particular unit is the difference. I own a meadowcreek TS60 and have cooked on the comparable lang models: they are both great. really great smokers. But as...

anyone got hands on with new Meadow Creek BX50?

I love meadowcreek products. I've done the research and looked at tons of different "great" smokers. Always came back to the Meadowcreek. I have the TS 60 and while the main knock on it is that it's too small...it still holds a lot of meat weight. Three slabs, a brisket, and two butts all day...

    Meadowcreekers unite!

Hey spin smoke, I too picked up a used meadowcreek TS60 and love that craftsmanship too. Really can't stress it enough how tough as nails and well thought out their work is in person. Heavy duty thru and thru. Works flawlessly. Once it's hot it stays where you want it too with just a little...

    Meadowcreekers unite!

Hi everyone, I recently picked up a Meadowcreek TS60 and wanted to try and get some tips/tricks/opinions from fellow meadowcreek owner/operators. I don't have much experience with this smoker. I love the craftsmanship of this smoker, very sturdy, heavy duty build. This is my first reverse flow...

    Just picked up Meadowcreek TS60

Hi everyone, I just got home from picking up my first reverse flow smoker. It's a slightly used Meadowcreek TS60 that I got for $1300.00 cash. Had the optional stainless work shelf too. I'm so psyched to fire it up but the rain isn't helping. It's beautifully seasoned already so I'll post some...

What do I do with $1100 cash and a dream?

Thanks. I will check it out. I know I like the 1/4 inch construction. I have decided to purchase the Lang 36 Patio, basic model. Just an update: found a used Meadowcreek TS60 two weeks ago for $1300.00 picked up. In this instance my patience/procrastination paid off. I'm very pleased with this...

What do I do with $1100 cash and a dream?

Ribwizzard just hit me with some well done meat math. Looking at it that way really makes me feel lazy. All joking aside thanks for the perspective and the advice.

What do I do with $1100 cash and a dream?

Holy guacamole, I can't justify me buying welding equiptment, the necessary supplies than actually learning to build and assemble a smoker I actually would like. I'm like everyone else in that I am limited in my free time. That's the main reason I am looking to make a one time purchase of a...

What do I do with $1100 cash and a dream?

Thanks for the help everyone. I'll continue my search and try locally to get one made. I am close to where they manufacture the meadow creek smokers and have used one in the past. They are really great units. Well made and designed. They are expensive. They don't sell used/rehabbed. Once a year...

What do I do with $1100 cash and a dream?

I love advice and I do realize that good que comes in many different ways. I do love the reverse flow offset look. I would like to only buy one smoker that is built a little heavier duty. What do you mean by the ultimate reverse flow? Cause if it exists I have to admit i would love that thing. I...

What do I do with $1100 cash and a dream?

Hi, I'm back. I'm hungrier now more than ever. Just to restate. Budget is $1100. Looking for horizontal offset, reverse flow, new/used in good shape smoker. Enough space to cook for eight-twelve people. Brisket, ribs, pork shoulder, chicken. Thanks everyone.

What do I do with $1100 cash and a dream?

Thanks for the reply. Very little experience. Just like the look and feel and smell of the reverse flow. I know I'm low end cash wise but I'm looking for a smaller used one in good shape. Would love a new one but realize with two young kids that this is my max. I don't want to spend it all just...

Hi, I'm looking for offset, charcoal/wood, with flavor being more important than easy. My max crowd would be 14-18. Usual crowd of 4-8.
