I pay about $1.75 # for packer briskets, have recently been getting Flank steak & baby backs on sale for $2.99 #. All from different stores. I think where you shop can make a big difference on prices, at least it does in my area.
Got a bunch of Flanks @ $2.99 # the other day. Love them marinaded on the grill, but have never smoked one. Anyone have any good marinades, or ideas for a Flank besides jerky? Thanks in advance.
I have cut several briskets in half to fit in my MES and never had a complaint. I typically smoke it to "pull" and have no KCBS judges as neighbors or friends, so they don't care what the presentation looks like.

Like BigSteve I've tried turkey bacon......OK.......But nothing like the real thing. I have also used Canadian Bacon & regular thin sliced Ham, both are pretty good. Just something about bacon.......
