Made some today. I usually prefer sweet BBQ sauce but this is Tangy and I kind of like it. Only tried a little with Italian sausage. "I know" .....it was the only thing I had at the moment to try with.
My wife hates vinegar(smell) and says she doesn't like the sauce. We have not been able...
It was 7.6 pounds. Here are some pictures before I put it in the oven and some prior. Notice the picture with my smoker and you will see I had gardeners spray week killer over every square inch of the park. I was not too happy to say the least.
4 hours in.
Before smoke.

Temperature is stalling again, 190 degrees at 12 hours. Down to some apple wood chunks the last of my fuel. Raised temp to 275(hope it doesn't dry out).
Good Deal, glad I could help. Get a few burns on it to season. The paint on the firebox will smell the first few times as it cooks a little. Turn your fire grate longways front to back and add a second grate from the cook chamber. You'll get better air circulation and It may not burn off so...
Hi, have had a shoulder on since 8am(10.5 hours) and I am stalled at 180 for almost 3 hours. Using pecan in an offset smoker and stick burning only. Temps have been between 245 and 275(after adding fuel).
Anyone here had a second stall around 180 before? I am NOT using foil this time and...
Morning from Las Vegas. It's cloudy and cold here. 38° with 13mph winds and 33 gusts. I almost decided to smoke today but these winds have hassled me in the past. Take care
It is pretty heavy and old. I would like an original OK Joe's smoker to go with the grill but my newer production will do for now. This little grill will last forever with a some care. Anyone else own one?
Got my OJ Longhorn and I don't regret it. I got it in sale from Lowe's for about 360 before tax. It is not 1/4 thick like my other OJ grill but it IS the thickest one selling at local retailers in this price range for sure. Get the bigger Longhorn if you can. The other brands were way too thin...
If it is a loose fit you can use some foil. I used foil to seal the gap between the stack and smoke chamber during assembly. Fold the foil nicely and wrap it around the elbow and press fit. It might work for your application. The mod on the inside is your decision but not needed. Once I adjusted...
I'm fairly new to cast iron but I would suggest giving them a good wash, drying them on the stove or oven and doing a light seasoning. I use canola oil and wipe it off almost completely then heat it up for a little while. I never get rancid oil. Might go rancid if I wiped them with oil and...
