My first build, help me please! reverse flow

Thanks everyone. That is why I am here. I like to LEARN! I am intrigued about the ground clamp comment. Are you saying the clamp is no bueno? Man, if only I could take a welding class. The local community college told me years ago I would have to sign up for a complete certificate and I was...

My first build, help me please! reverse flow

Yes, I am using flux core and I am using .035 wire with a .035 tip. Maybe I'll play with the tension a little bit. Thanks everyone. I wish welding came naturally to me but clearly it does not!

Hmmm, liner? What do you mean? Tension? How do I know if it is right or not? Keep in mind I am 100% youtube (self) taught.

Nothing a little hydraulic Jack can't fix. All straight and happy again. Next is to weld the bottom on and start the cc. Hopefully I can figure out my welding issues before making welds that will be visible.

    Cooking Chamber too fat?

Um, my neighbors hate my smoking habit. One day I was lighting the egg. Unfortunately when first lit it can be quite smokey. My old lady neghbor was on her porch hacking and coughing. I felt so bad. The wind was not blowing in my favor that day! Unfortunately, the wind always blows my smoke...

    New Here

Hi, my name is Matt.  I have a problem.  I like barbequing too much!  I have had a big green egg for about 3 years but have finally decided it is time for a traditional smoker.  I like the egg for bbq, but am looking for a change.  I found this forum searching for info on building my own...

My first build, help me please! reverse flow

I know everyone likes pictures and I've been boring everyone with questions so I finally made some progress.  Hoping to have it done by mlb opening day (april 10) so I can tailgate proper.  Got most of the motor brackets and feet cut off and ground down.  Realized I was out of cutting disks...

My first build, help me please! reverse flow

Thanks dave.  My post is confusing.  I am not really sure how to refrase it other than I am just trying to figure out what my calculations relate to in regards to stuff inside the CC.  my "A, B, C" have nothing to do with the calculator, just three questions but I think I have A and B figured...

    Cooking Chamber too fat?

I just tore down the compressor I plan to use for my build.  It is a 33 gallon craftsman tank.  Upon turning it on its side, it seems fat and short.  Is this a problem? It has a diameter of 18" and is 33" long.  Thank you.

My first build, help me please! reverse flow

I have a few more questions on the calculations as well as exactly what each calculation pertains to.  On my picture, (sorry for the crappy drawing/pic) I have coorelated A, B and C to each area.  Am I accurate as to what each calculation is measuring?  My biggest question is B, the area under...
