NEED HELP!!! MES40 meat probe error code EAA2

Thanks Geerock for the info. The Maverick et732 is on my Christmas list but looks like I'll be getting myself an early present. What kind of smoker did you go to after giving up on Masterbuilt?

NEED HELP!!! MES40 meat probe error code EAA2

Have any MES owners here come across an error code when checking the meat IT saying EA2 or EAA2? I just received my MES 4 days ago. A bit disappointing! I have a trial turkey breast in right now and will have to use a instant read thermometer for this one. I would love to be able to fix this...

Well said fpmich! Pops, I think fpmich speaks for us all on here, especially when it comes to your amazing recipes and generosity of sharing them with us all so selflessly! I turned two pork tenderloins into back bacon (Canadian bacon) using pops' brine. That wet cure is not only delicious but...

    New member from Michigan

Hello and welcome! I too am fairly new to smoking and have the MES30. I'd start with a chicken. Pretty simple, a fairly quick smoke and delicious! My first smoke was a pork tenderloin only because I didn't plan in advance. Post pics of whatever you decide. Good luck and happy smoking!

    First Canadian Bacon, Need HELP!

I decided to go as low of a temp as possible while still getting good smoke, which was right about 160-170. For the last 20 minutes I turned it up to 200* to get a good thick smoke on them.  I had pork tenderloins so it took right about 4.25 hours. Thanks again woodcutter! I would have...
