    A Masterbuilt Electric Smoker Question

I have the 40" MES and it's hard to check the burning of the wood chips.I start out with a small amount of chips at first to get things going.the next load I put in a good amount on the smoldering chips and they light easily then.I like the smoke flavor to be lite and not over powering.I think...

First time smoker! In need of help.

Well patience on the pork butt .Butts are a very easy piece of meat to cook but take time. The lower temps we smoke at 225-250+ make it harder to predict when exactly will be done.A turkey in the oven is 20 min.a pound @ 325 or so and there is no reason to open the door until its done.I have had...

    Getting ready for first smoke

How exciting is this "first smoke" You can't ruin a piece of meat no mater how hard your try. You might not want to eat it but someone or something will.I have a 130 lb.black lab that will eat anything but liver sausage. Best of luck you seem very prepared for this and I know it will be great.Bill

    red oak flooring for smoker

I would put it in the fire place. If you look at the stamp on it this tells the manufacture and sometimes what lot ,run and milling. If there isn't a stamp then you could probably use it.I know the stamp isn't much but its not wood its ink. my $.02 bill
