All burners adjustment bolts were loose, some all the way in & one all the way out. If the flame is yellow....do you adjust the bolts out or in to get a "blue" flame ? Is all the way in "rich"...meaning too much gas or too much air ? I don't want to make it tourch mode & melt "damage" the...
I just got new burners for my Char-Broil gas grille (they are lifetime warranty). These burners have a bolt w/nut on the inlet tube that does some kind of air/gas mixture. Any ideas on how this works ? What do I look for inregards for the "flame" ?
Thanks to all that Served our Country. Gob...
Welcome aboard ya'll. By your post, I bet ya'll have alot you could share with this community. Never stop learning. Glad you & your family are hanging out here. Pull up a chair & stay awhile.
Wow! Nice looking spread you have. I almost bet that you have a "helper". Next time you do a pig........please share with us (or anything else that volunteers for pit work).
Well....how ya doin' today ? Everything working out okay ? I call jalapeno's "Texas Pickles".....everyone that has eaten any of my meat that has Jeff's rub on it haven't said anything about it being hot.
I smoke my briskets whole packer. Just find the way you & your family like the best.
But...

That looks wonderful ! Did you add any logs/wood to the coals ? Sure would have loved to have been there & eat some....but looks like ya'll took care of it.
Nerer heard of franklin in Austin. May have to try it out. Q is good in Lockhart. But as that article states....littlle towns have wonderful Q......I still recommend Milts here in Kyle.........http://miltspitbbq.com/
Please let us know how it works. I've tried about everything I can think of in the firebox to have the logs/chunks/etc. to not start flaming( foiling metal trays etc)........Its enough to keep the firebox going. I've figured out using the Minion method & get 3-5 hrs before I have to start...
So what kind of temps are you running with your intakes almost fully open in the chamber ? You use the AMNS...is that the one that uses "powder" ? How long does it smoke ? Thanks Venture & I've been checking your posts on the mods on this smoker....I need to sit down for awile & read that thread.
I'm still trying to find a way to have smoke in my Char-Griller Super Pro with side fire box. I use a Lowes shaker box for my coals in the fire box. I still haven't got the right way to add wood to the firebox without the wood to start flaming. I was wondering if I could use the AMNPS in my...
Sorry I haven't posted here in a long time. I have the Char-Griller Super-pro w/side fire box. To address the leak of heat/smoke from the back where the top meats the bottom (a good gap in places). I use a piece of 3/8 rope gasket 28" long. I tear of a piece of foil 28.5" long. I lay the rope on...
Thanks slownlow. Pancit is a noodle dish . You use pancit canton noodles. Do you have an Asian Market (China Town) close by ? When my wife gets home I'll ask for the recipe.
Most pancit use pork, chicken, & shrimp for the meat but my wife saw how much fat is in the brisket points that she took...
Thanks Al. I blame you & everyone else here for all this.
I will say this though. If I had to buy a smoker....knowing what I know now.........it would be an up-right type. Something that I can access all the racks & could run higher temps for chicken etc. My char griller w/side firebox is a...
