I have read some on seasoning smokers. Is this just as simple smoking a dry run in it or coating it with evoo first? In your humble opinions, what is the right way of breaking in a new smoker?
Ive been watchin' that show since it started. Beer mugs up for Capt Phil over here . I think he's the most seasoned out of all of them. That joke he played on Capt. Sig a couple years ago proved it....Smart!
I think that's the only smoker co. Ive seen that gives you the option of a 1/2 inch firebox. Pretty beefy!
This is somewhat a newbie question but, when I clicked on the larger pictures I noticed the smokestacks are below grate level. Appearing even with firebox. Is this so heat and smoke rises...

For a great heater/oven/warming tray, grab an ammo can and mix some tanker fuel with sand. Light on fire for a few till flames burn down, close the lid.

Ill agree I like to cook with 100% real wood.....real wood, real flavor.....but, its expensive and wasteful. Im just now starting to play around with lump.
