Please do. In the midst of 3 10lb shoulders for some PP this evening. Camera busted (OK I forgot to charge) so no Q pics...
Would love to come down to god's country.....
What I've done for this type of 'big smoke' is once you've completed the smoke and pulled then put your PP in vacu bags and seal them up. This is the typical vacu seal type bags. Put in freezer. Once at bet together have a rolling pot o' water going and put the bags into the pot - still...
Hey there - I too want to thank you for your service....
As for the thermometer - the majority of us use the Maverick ET-732
It's a great thermometer and well worth the $$. I just bought my second and appreciate the remote feature as I don't have to walk to the smoker (yes I'm lazy...).
As...
Hey there HotnSpicy -
I've been to Goshen along the pass many times fishing. and then onto the BSA camp May I suggest swinging bridge as a place to take guests....It's along 396 just east of the turn in to Camp VA and the Boy Scout Camp -Hwy 601. On the river side and it's easy to miss but...
Dang Rib,
That thing not only holds some serious meat but to keep it smokin' you need to go through allot o' trees to keep it up to temp and blue thin line....
I'd imagine this is a commercial application. If not that family has lots of members...
For the smoker compartment I used this caulking around the edges of box and lid then on top of caulk bead placed wax paper and closed to create a perfect closure with no leaks. The wax paper applied to the caulk prevents the two beads from sticking together. Once you form the seal remove the...
I smoked x2 butts and x2 slabs of spares this weekend. Not sure as to why it took so dag-gone long for the butts but in the end it came out great.
Started out Friday afternoon going to the local BJ's and found a heck of a deal on meat.
Here's my selection for this weekend -
It started out...
Yea - I have to whole heartedly agree with Tom C that this Q finishing sauce is the greatest!!!! I just made some for my x2 butts currently on the smoker.
Also regarding the bear claw vs. fork - I use some over sized forks. Like HarleySmoker, when using this method the PP is left with nice...
Ouch - I'm sorry to hear about that. Happy Birthday though....
This is truly a gamble as you've raised the temp in into the danger zone and then back into refrig temps. I just did a search on temps and came up with a lot of hits and suggest you do this search. I'm also sure some of the pro's...
Thanks for the quick feed back..I've got some kingsford I'll light it up and put the angle brackets in to rid the toxic stuff!
aleover - I'm just using hte angle brackets to connect the sides of the basket together.
OK
I've cut and bent my charcoal basket to form using #9 Expanded Metal 3/4". Looks pretty good. I was going to pick up some angle brackets from the local HD but saw every stinking bracket was either galvinized or zinc plated.
Reading in the forums I don't want to have bad gas from the fire...
You'll find plenty information on this via the search engine as I did. I use a SFB with lump. I have no issues leaving it alone overnight. I do have concerns with unattended tanks connected to a fire. I've listened to bad accounts of leaving these things unattended. I'm just saying...
