I was about to say no but I googled it and yes I do, about 30 mins away. I will give them a look. Thanks for the tip!

    Pork butt prices and quality

Thanks John. Yeah the Publix ones are overpriced but the smaller size is appealing for a shorter cook. But then I guess they are exposed to less time in the smoke. Do the Costco butt's cook any quicker since they are butterflied or does trussing them back together negate that?

    Pork butt prices and quality

I was reading Whole Foods uses Thompson Farms in Georgia as their supplier. A lot more expensive but I guess the quality is better.

    Pork butt prices and quality

It's been a while since I have shopped for pork butts. Last time I did I live in New York where the prices were high and the choices were few. Now that we are in Florida I'm happy that pretty much anywhere they sell meat they sells butts. I wen't shopping today and checked out a couple places...

Could we get an "OBITUARY" section for members who have passed on...

I can tell you after being a way from here for over 10 years, it was very sad to see how many of the old guard have passed. It would be great to memorialize them.

    Finally decided

After returning to the forum and smoking I was trying to decide on what smoker to get and finally picked one. I had one of these 15 years ago and it never let me down so I figure the relearning curve would be shorter.

    Long shot

It's a long shot but figured I'd ask. There use to be a member of the forum named Steve. His screen name was WalkingDude. He passed away years ago. When I was last active on the forum, he shared his wife's tater salad and cole slaw recipes. Over the years I have lost them and was wondering if...

    Unstuffing the Cabbage Roll

That is some tasty looking grub. I just made some stuffed cabbage last week but your post has me in the mood for it all over again. Not only does it look good but the recipe seems infinitely easier than mine. Thanks for the recipe.

Pork butt - smoker shut down

Sorry to hear of your misfortune but glad you were able to make the save! I use to love doing overnight smokes. I'd stay up for the most part watching the temps, reading, chatting with people here at SMF who were doing the same and consumed 1 or 2 adult beverages. I'd sneak in a cat and here or...
