    Water Bowl for WSM

Thanks. I've been to tvwbb. I was looking to see if anyone knew of a pan like the old Brinkmann rather than ordering the mixing bowl solution they mention there and hoping I get one that fits.

    New smoker

Congrats on the new toy, umm I mean precision smoking instrument ;) I don't have the Cuisinart but I have the 18 WSM so the grates should be similar size. With ribs the issue is "most" racks of ribs are longer than 18" so you have to get creative. Measure the ribs before you buy them and get...

    Water Bowl for WSM

My first WSM had the shallow 1 gallon water bowl. Unfortunately I no longer have that smoker and the new one I bought has the big water bowl. Of course, since I am an idiot ,I didn't take that into account when I built my charcoal basket and I have almost no clearance between the bowl and the...

    Royal Oak Lump dissapointing

It seems they did. I would say it's about 10-20% chunks and 80 -90% pieces the size of a quarter. It is horrible.

The return - Getting ready for smoking

Made it through the stall. Temp went down to 170 now back up above 172. Hopefully clear sailing from this point. 10 hours in so far.

The return - Getting ready for smoking

Hit the stall. Meat temp is now 170.5 and still heading lower so lost 2.5 degrees in the past hour. I've had plenty of stalls before but don't remember the IT actually decreasing. Also struggling to maintain smoker temp as most of the RO charcoal bag is filled with tiny pieces. They use to be...
