I dry the butt and then turn around spritz it with water and then rub it up everywhere and cinch it up. Some guys guys apply mustard and then the rub but I found the water does just fine and isn't such a mess
I ran out of propane for the torch I use to light my smoke tube. I had watched a uTube where the guy used a heat gun to light the tube so I gave it a try. It took about the same amount of time to get the tube going and it was a lot easier. Time to retire the torch
