Dillers (aka Texas speed bumps) can inflict a nasty slap with their tails if cornered and you get close enough. They will emit a nasty smell when scared.

Back in the day, those were known as "short wave radios", all they do is receive, no transmit. Seeing as how it probably hasn't been used in a number of years, the capacitors in them dry out and when you throw a full power load to them, they have a tendency to let the smoke out (aka blow up)...
I use a smoke tube in my MES 30. I added some U bolts to set it on an angle of about 45 degrees on the left side of the smoker. I open the chip loader about half way to get a good draft and get a good 4 hours plus of smoke
