ready for the fridge
I plan to light up about 4am, hopefully it quits raining by then!
One minute we got sunny skys, then next thing ya know cloudy, grey, and rain. Supposed to be mostly sunny and temps around high 60's to low 70's tomorrow. Just last weekend we were in the high 90's.
Thought of this myself. Could try sprinkling around the coals in the pan, or save enough and send to kingsford. Maybe they'll send you a bag of briquettes in return.
Thanks for the link. I got mine last week and will try it tomorrow. After shipping, it cost about $42 which is still cheaper than if I had bought it at the store. Same unit about $50
I got Coyote's package just minutes ago. He sent a me a pound of Lumbre chile powder. Got a nice heat level that I think most would like. I can see mixing this in my rub for tomorrows pulled pork.
Both coyote and STFRon should receive theirs soon.

General consensus from my test subjects were positive, so I willl...

You can also check your local Cabelas. They are not listed on their website, but the one near me has 'em
I'm ready to give it another go. Got a shallow pan with the bacon in a perforated pan on top. The bacon is rubbed down with brown sugar and cayenne. I'll try it this way and see how it goes.
My first attempt seemed to do just what you mentioned. It swam in the fat and the sugar, thus the...
