I would agree. Kingsford is to briquettes as RO is to Lump. Lump is better You win! Looks like the end of a Friday shift and the last bag. I can imagine one of the baggers saying something like, 'uhh yea Bill this one's a little light.' No prob Jim, put this in, its 10 lbs. now. Time to...

Gray skies..babybacks and a new CGSP qview in stages..bonus pig candy too

Never had that pointed out before. Truth be told, I didn't realize one way or the other would be the 'wrong' way. My line of thinking I guess, was to have the meatier side closer to the heat. Since you mentioned that, it was time to get them outta the foil. Here they are flipped, glazed and...

As others, I too, use RO and have always been pleased with it. I have read, on that review page some of the strange items found in bags of Cowboy etc, so it was to my surprise to find these: The rock I found in the SFB after yesterday's seasoning. I opened a new bag for today's smoke and I...

    It worked!!!! Finally

Congrats on your victory! There was a thread a few weeks ago where we discussed the pain in the arse opening bags can be. No sooner than posting in that thread, was I able to get it open with 1 pull. In fact, 2 bags of RO I bought this week have already been "started" for me Maybe someone...

Thinking of upgrading from a vertical to a chargriller-smokin pros get in here!

Thanks! I had intended to, and for todays smoke I have the 'handles' resting on the guide rail for that extra clearance. I just set the basket in the SFB to show what I was using in the pic Got off work and got her seasoned yesterday afternoon and ready to smoke today. I see what yer saying...

    shish kabobs, kebabs, shishliki, brochette.....

You sir, are absolutely right. Ironic though. Its on at the same time the missus and I are going out for kebabs!! There's a place just over the ID stateline called the White House grill. Bast lamb kebabs ever! You can literally count the pieces of garlic on each cube of meat. Oh how I...

Thinking of upgrading from a vertical to a chargriller-smokin pros get in here!

I just bent it to follow the shape of the lid. It'll still butt up to the warming rack, but not enough to 'pinch' it.

Thinking of upgrading from a vertical to a chargriller-smokin pros get in here!

I had thought of that as well. I was peeking to see if so when closing. The rack seems to meet the duct but does not interfere with it. A perfect fit as it can get.

    Smoke stack mod

Others who've had theirs longer can better attest to longetivity. Smoking at 250-300 max, is well under my example's recommended operating temp. Don't see it melting anytime soon

Thinking of upgrading from a vertical to a chargriller-smokin pros get in here!

Finished puttin it all together with the vent mod. A wok topper in use for the firebox. Figured I can shake the ash off, and probably put the handles on the grate rail to get a bit more airflow under it. I originally picked this up for the other unit but it wouldn't fit. Told the missus I...

    Side Box Smoker Availability

I've foud websites to be somewhat misleading. Whats on the site might not be instore and vice versa. Go to Lowes and do a search for 'smoker' and they don't list the SFB, but when I went there yesterday, they had a pallet each of the super pro and side burners. SFB's about 54 ea and the...
