    Show Off Your Rig!

Upper rack is the same size. The slideout has "extensions" on each end that are built in and stationary, left and right of the lid, just like the main, botton rack.

    Show Off Your Rig!

42"x20". The firebox is 1/2" steel. Need it that thick for insulation to keep the temp from varying too much in the Michgan winters.

WEBER KETTLE vs SIDE FIRE BOX

Yardbird on my Kettle. Finished. Small pork shoulder on the Kettle. I can go about 1 hr 40 min without replenishing coals (13 briquettes per side gives me 245-250*). I start off with top vent fully open and bottom vents closed. As the temp drops to about 215*, I'll open the bottom vents...

    Dino Bones finally

They cut the "Prime Rib Roast" off the ribs. More $ for a boneless rib roast than ribs with meat on them.

Can always "double" or "triple" any foil wrap. Just need to determine what is cheaper. Do I buy the "good" stuff, or go cheap and do the double or triple.

    question for UDS pro's

I've seen your drum in action. Its smaller than mine. 43 1/2 inches tall, 23 1/2 inch diameter.

    Starting my UDS

3 openings at the bottom are enough to get started. Once up to temp, usually keep one fully open, close one, crack the other. Of course, all depends of weather conditions too.

    Another Michigan rib burn

Do we supply boxes? If using styro, not much room for garnish with 10 bones in a box.

    question for UDS pro's

Charcoal briquettes I get 1 hr per lb (approx), so 12 hr burn = 12 lbs briqs. With lump, I use about 8-10 lbs.
