Mixon Vs. Kirk
Id like to take the classes as well. Mixon's class is 750.00. I have seen video's on youtube. In the video he does not smoke on a conv smoker. he uses the cinder block smoker for whole hogs and chicken etc. Id like to see how he does it on a regular smoker and not the cinder block and expanded... -

Smoked pork butt
Everyone in here will tell you. Its done when it is done. A rule of thumb is 1.5 hours a pound. Again it is a guesstamation. Go with the internal TEMP. Done @ 170 OR go to 190+ for pulling. Thats what I do. I did 2 butts 10# or so a pc this past weekend and it took 14-16 hrs to get to 197. But... -

Where to buy charcoal shaker basket locally?
WOW. I can remember back when mine was new llike that. Ohh he memories. I use mine now for straight charcoal and I use the WSM 22.5 for the smoking. Works out great. You can NOT beat cooking on charcoal/lump. IMHO- mr500

Where to buy charcoal shaker basket locally?
I bought my at Lowes. Its actually a cooking basket and I cut off the handle. I bent the side down so it would rest on the rails inside my fire box. Cant remember exaclty what is was called. It was black, nice and deep with holes all in the sides/bottom. Like I said, it was a grill wok or...- mr500

Case Qty....
For those of you that buy Baby Bak Ribz from sams, how many is in the CASE? How much does it weigh? I can get them cheaper by the case, but have NO idea how much I will be getting. ANy help will be appreciated!! -

I did it! Bought a WSM 22.5!!!!!
Yeah I stayed home from work to get mine. I did NOT want that sitting on the front door step.. Fed ex came around 1030 and it was assembled by noon. This thing is HUGE!!!! The bottom heat shield was a lil bother with me by myself but with help it will go great!! When you get it you must go...- mr500
