Most reputable computer repair shops (they're everywhere - just go local) can help you recover your data if it fails before you can back up. Apparently it happens often enough that the charge isn't tooooooo bad and it's more a function of what they can get for the job, rather than how difficult...
I'm a little late to the party (haven't read the entire thread) but I'm a Dunkin' Donuts coffee guy.
I live out in the country and I like to have my coffee fresh brewed as I stumble out of bed; I buy bags of Dunkin' Donuts medium roast whole bean (the "normal" blend) and set my Cuisinart...
*Absolutely*!!!!
The best "all around" soy sauce is Kikkoman. You can get higher grade and better tasting soy sauce, but you've got to look for it and it's a matter of personal preference. You can get Kikkoman at any grocer and it's fine in 99% of all cooking applications. Avoid LaChoy at...
Good times...
Did I really think of something "new" with that "rolling pin" method of doing the saran wrap? Sure worked good!
I'm glad I went for it and made one of these - sure was good eatin' and turned out to be easier than what thought it was going to be.
I cheated and grabbed a little extra sausage that I hadn't flattened out for the initial roll and packed it on each end, then re-wrapped and twisted. Worked fine (as a suggestion if you have any extra sausage available to do such a thing.)
I did this for last night's dinner and it was a Huge success!
Alright, here we go. First time for everything, eh?
I went for a variation of the home-made lasagna filling my mom perfected and my wife imitates so well. :bounce:
I started with 2 lbs of sweet italian sausage, flattened out in...
I've used pellets with good success in my MES. I bought a 25# bag of "Backwoods" hickory pellets at my local farm-and-home store when I saw a pallet of them while shopping for something else.
They must not be pure hickory, though, as I get a stronger, truer hickory taste from using chips...
A can't miss seasoning for grilled/smoked lamb for those wanting the easy way out is EVOO and Cavender's Greek Seasoning (available in the spice aisle in almost any grocery store.)
Matter of fact, we use Cavender's on all sorts of things, pork chops being a notable favorite.
Hello,
I've read some pretty great reviews of smoking with olive wood, but the reviews were specifically for "fruit bearing" olive wood grown on the west coast.
How would "North Atlantic Olive" compare? Anyone know?
I have done some web searching for olive wood and the following site with...
How much of a temp effect do you think it has directly setting it on the grate? It didn't seem to make a difference when I double checked my readings by setting it in the oven in the kitchen (again, I'm using an MES, which is basically an outdoor oven with a smoke box anyway)
...an "oven temp" or "smoker box" temp thermometer? Or does the probe need to be stuck in something?
I don't have any of those dial style oven thermometers at the moment and I want to run a check/test in my MES.
Thanks!
I've also read that if you had it plugged into an extension cord - rather than directly into an outlet - the additional resistance will reduce the current and the heat output of the element. Could that have been an issue?
Thanks!
Next question: Any issue with using marble instead of granite?
EDIT: I think I'm overthinking this. I can get a piece of steel in either 3/8" or 1/2" thick cut to whatever size I want. Duh.
I have a 30", 800W MES and have *really* liked it since I got it for Christmas; I've used it 8 or 9 times in sub-freezing weather.
My question is regarding the tile heat baffle/sink mod. I just measured and a 12" square tile will fit, but it wouls come within 1/2" of the door when closed and...
