I spent about an hour on Google, YouTube, Bradley Forum, etc... trying to find this before I posted here and it's like the internet has been scrubbed clean!
As usual, as soon as I made the post I found a pic.

I am replacing the heating element in my FIL's BOS.
There is a little metal tab thing on the old element. I have moved it to the new element but am not sure how that goes onto the ceramic insulators.
Does anyone have a picture of theirs or can you tell me how that thing goes on?

Same thing happened to me last night. Put it on at 6pm and my alarm set for 200 went off at 4:30. I pulled it out and wrapped it in full and a towel and put it in an ice chest. Pulled it around 9:00am and had sandwiches for lunch.

My MES 40 runs about 30 degrees hot. If your not using a separate thermometer to monitor your cooking temp you might consider it. I'm a rookie too but they looked a little over cooked.
