imho any thermometer other than them fork things are good. any way to make sure the meat temp is safe is good to me.however for the price i think i would go with the maverick.the ones i have are all acurites for 10 dollars or less

well its been a couple a couple of days since i posted i think since wed. or thursday but im back .i was trying to get everything ready for a small local comp. down here well after lots of work and lack of sleep im happy to say my brother and i took home first place trophy a hundred dollar...
so to those of you that have tried it i understand its good and am ready to try some but my question is this .Saturday i will only have an hour or so to rub /season babyracks or maybe st. louis cut .is this enough time for jeffs rub to work or are there any suggestions as to a good one that...
yep boiled ribs with a touch of liquid smoke applied . just the way i like em
just kidding if they were good then they were good .ive never personally boiled ribs but i may have eaten some and not known about it.
i think it could be done if you have the time and tools.and what a great wedding present to smoke some food for the reception on her grandfathers old smoker

well ribs are done and 1 1/2 racks gone already.i finally came up with a glaze i used 1 cup apple jelly ,1/2 cup of KC Masterpiece hickory brown sugar,a dash of allspice a pinch ofcloves and a hint of cinnamon didnt take measurments so thats the best i can describe it.turned out great put it...
like said before keep reading asking questions and taking notes .the notes will let you know what youre doing right and wrong so you wont produce so so q.i think all of us here can at least in one way or another had a day of smoking not turn out like we wanted but it is a neverending learning...
