    Your pics aren't working. Also the only time I have had with chips and or chunks turning black is why before I did any mods and used the stock chip pan and also used a cast iron pan as well. When I burn pellets in the side box they burn up to ash no problem.

    Also the propane flame can burn the smoke so you can't see it but if you can smell it coming out the exhaust then you are still getting flavor from it.     Well there will be maybe an 1/4 to 1/2 inch in smoker if not flush but it won't be a problem hitting it with a torch.

    Well there all 3/4 added one more in door. And smoker is a 3605G.

    Got three think 7/8 in front one on bottom and for on right side with a weber vent adjuster on it all open.

    nope no fan just went out and very little smoke and still a cherry on pellets but little smoke coming of them.

    Second one is only one row first one some how got two going and that started all three.
