New MES 40 remote control odd behavior...

:grilling_smilie:I couldn't agree with you more, the instruction manual for my and ES 40 doesn't say anything about the remote other than what size batteries it needs. Instructions would have been nice.:grilling_smilie:

    Mold in smoker

Fungus yummy but seriously when I get that moldy looking stuff in my grill I just crank'er up to 500 for a while then just brush away the ashes. My question is does a smoker get hot enough to fully kill the mold and sterilize the grates, I would go the hot soapy water route and wash that stuff away.

How good is the Smoke Hollow 44" smoker ?

p.s. Since you have explained the bricks to me I can see in the photograph that the wall although level has more bricks in it as you proceed to the right, of course if I was Sherlock Holmes I would've noticed that in the first place. LOL

How good is the Smoke Hollow 44" smoker ?

If the oven is set to a low temperature it will dry the wood but honestly I have never had a problem smoking with seasoned woods, even if they had been left out in the rain for days water will barely penetrate the surface .

How good is the Smoke Hollow 44" smoker ?

Hey there, why are the legs on the right of you smoker shorter than the left...and how lucky you are that a couple of red bricks are just the right size to level it out...lol but seriously did you have to cut them because of corrosion? p.s. a micro wave won't dry wet wood but it will draw...

How good is the Smoke Hollow 44" smoker ?

It's okay to light them that way but after that don't expose them to direct flame, some say "A great "smoke" isn't made by the physical smoke you can see, it's the smoke you can't see that gets the job done." Is it true? I don't know, but by some, I really mean a lot.
