Although we get didn't the amounts you did (only 4-5" here) it is about 10 degrees right now.
I'll wait a couple days!
The Rum is good Fire!
Last week I smoked 3 beer can chickens, drank the beer and added Rum, pineapple, orange and lime juice to the can plus used the remainder as a spritz.
Mai Tai chicken!
Fourthwind, Costco off of Hwy 7 had them when they first opened but haven't seen them there lately. Must not have sold enough.
I plan on asking the manager this week, the family loves the Tri-Tip!
Nice job on the roasts Smoke!
WOW! That looks fantastic, nice job.
I have a question, is difficult to dig it back up without puncturing the wire/pig or do you just get close enough to grab the handles and muscle it up?
Outstanding and nice Qview!
Haha! Yeah only got a couple inches but man was it cold.
I set my soaked Hickory chips outside by the Q when I lit the fire, came out to put the birds on and they frozen. Had to take them in and micro them
I forgot to mention that I emptied the beer cans they are sitting on and filled them with...
As I mentioned in another thread I placed 3 5lb chickens in the brine yesterday (used Jeff's recipe) only to find it was going to 15 degrees today and snow!
Undeterred I got the fire going and rubbed down the birds as soon as the sun popped out.
This is after 1.5 hours at about 285 degrees...
Done! Smoked for 2.5 hours at an average temp of 275.
Temp in the breast was 170 and juicy as hell!
Just gave one to the neighbor lady and she about wet her pants
Hey guys I gotta a question.
I have been wanting to purchase one of these but because I have been smoking on my Weber 26.75 I was worried the tight fit of the lid would sever or harm the tether. Anyone have experience with this ?
Thanks in advance!
I have no answer to your question but I am jealous of the temp.
I Brined 3 5lb chickens this afternoon and then sat down to watch the news and found out I will be smoking in a snow storm and a high of 16 tomorrow!
Good luck!
Congrats on the toy!
All of these suggestions sound great but for me it always comes to time.
We are having Christmas at my sisters ( dinner at 5).
I would love to do a butt but that means I have to start at 5am, (mama says no!) so I am going smoke 3 5 pound chickens and it should only take 3+...
