Limited Time Sale on Pork Butts at Kroger

Went and picked up a belly yesterday for bacon. Don't know the PPlb but it was $41.00 and change for a 15 lb belly (skin on). His case price on butts was $2.78 lb. Not much of a deal there. Thats about the same price as the (each) price at the grocery.

    Sausage Pops?

I grew up with Aebleskiver. I have a very strong Danish heritage on my mothers side. My great Aunt would make them for us as kids and we loved em. We looked forward to a big platter of Aebleskiver as much as Christmas morning! It was always a great treat for us.

SmokinWelders First Smoker Ever!!!! 250 gallon/trailer build

I suggested the stainless only because on my Horizon they made the racks out of regular expanded sheet metal, and boy do they rust. I'm lookin at remaking them with the stainless to keep the cooking surface cleaner and get rid of the rust.

SmokinWelders First Smoker Ever!!!! 250 gallon/trailer build

After reading a post on seasoning cast iron the other day, I would reccomend not using vegetable oil to season it with. For one vegetable oil becomes sticky when "cured" and vegtable oil will go rancid after a period of time. I think I would use Flax seed oil like they reccomended for the cast...

Turning existing concrete/adobe building into smokehouse

I think you'll have a fine smokehouse when you get er finished. You could smoke a whole beef in one that big. As far as racks to hang stuff on they don't have to be stationary. You could use an old bread rack or proofing rack as a frame for a hanging rack for sausages and such.
