I'd say save up more money and buy a horizontal that will last, 1/4 steel, or skip the horizontal and get a WSM. For the money you want to spend the WSM is, by far, a better cooker than the cheap horizontals.

I used to paint mine (fire box) but it seems the paint would never last long. This year I started rubbing the fire box down with lard after most smokes, it's worked great. Ya can't hardly tell what's painted and what is seasoned. Of course wire brush the rust off first.
It is Lisbon but if you try and look up the place it is listed under Newark, doesn't make sense.
We ordered a 1/2 hog and a rack of steaks from them. The hog is ready but the steaks have to age a week. We're picking it up in two weeks.
Close down the inlets and let the smoker settle down a bit before putting the product on. I always start my smoker long before the need to put meat on.
