    Thanks for info been looking to buy an electric grinder. I have been using A number 10 hand grinder with A drill on it but you have to operate drill with one hnd and do everything else wit other. gonna have to go and check it out.

    Ok heres the finished product after 4 hours. It is at 162 got A little done I (was busy). after resting for 20 minutes. It was the best backstrap I had ever eaten ( best deer meat actually) thanks possumgritz for the recipie, maybe next time I wont cook it so long.

    my wife is from california and they are big on smoking tri tip and she wants me to do one but we live in ga. and the closet thing i can find is sirloin tip is this meat as good to smoke as tri tip?
