    Need Ideas

I think I would have to consider building two like the one you viewed that was built by vette guy. Just my opinion tho. I feel you would get much better temp control out of two smaller ones vs one that is 10 feet long. If you didnt have pipe already in hand I would say that you should go for a...

    Steel gauge for a smoker?

Sure, that's probably thicker then a standard bulk storage tank. Now if your in a colder climate then you may want to think.about insulation for the winter months. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk

    Reverse Flow First Time Builder.

Oh boy, I'm not sure on the stack question. We better leave that one to the guys that have formal training in figuring mass and flow with surface tension. LMAO. Usually at this point I just try it and see what happens.  A taller stack isn't going to hurt you at all. I don't think. It should...

My 16 Gallon Mini UDS build.

On a good day with temps in the 80's I can get near 30 hours on about 13 lbs of kingsford lump.  Keep in mind thats a near perfect burn. Most times I run in the twenties and finish before the coals run out.

    SS Commercial Refrigerator Build

Congrats on the find as well as being the first build.  I will follow the build for sure.  On the gauge, I would say that if you splurge and go stainless then 22 ga would be fine. But if you are going with mild steel then maybe 18 ga would work better.  Not sure where you are located but you...

Ooops! We had a fire on Sunday

One more from here, glad no one was hurt.  I have a friend that used that same stuff, loaded the coal starter and could find no lighter to start the paper. After searching the house for a lighter, 10 minutes or more later he lights it and WOOOFFFFFFF like a jet engine.  Sure it lights easy but...

    RF Door size question

I don't like to have my doors go below center due to the drip factor.  So the top of my doors are real close or above top center and just above the front center.  For length, its personal choice. Sometimes two doors is nice but you have a divider in the center, unless its removable. I have...

My 16 Gallon Mini UDS build.

I've been pondering the idea of building a mini as well.  Personally I think the coal starter will work with a few mods.  I had tossed around the idea of removing the handle, then marking a one inch grid on the outside of the starter. Then drilling 5/8" or maybe even 3/4" holes at every grid...

    RF plate Question

If access to a welder or if you are paying someone to weld for you, then bolt it in place. You will still need angle iron welded into the tank for a place to bolt to.  And as fife stated it would probably need a lip on it, you want the grease to run to the drain hole not thru the cracks. So in...

RF Build In Slow Motion (Sinks are done!)

Joel, this isn't the greatest price but I will post the link so that you can see what it is. These are awesome for paint removal, the best I have ever tried. They also work fantastic for cleaning up and blending weld beads. Careful if you buy online that you get the ones for the angle grinders...

    SFB Baskets

Well first off, before I took anything back. Did it say galvanized? Should have said electro or dip if it was to say.  Second, if its chrome you can take a pair of angle cutting d!kes and nip it right on the end of a rod. If its chrome it will flake and peel.  I would almost vote that since it...

    500 gallon RF/grill build

Nice build !!  I also like the springs for the door assist. My only question is, do you plan any kind of safety method in the event the spring either breaks or comes off? I had a similar spring on my shop press break and fly. Lucky for me it wasn't pointed at my head, made one heck of a gouge...
