    Wait!!! I hate to see you go through all that work and have the masa seep out!! You must wrap the tamale completely in the banana leaf. Overlap two side by side put the stuffing in the middle then fold over and tie with string. Lemme send you a paper towel example

    They were so much better with the marinade. I may try yours as well. Good thing about ribs is that you can cut a few of them and put them in different marinades at the same time.
