    BBQ bubba is on it! after checking... mine is close to that... only 8" from the top..... feet on coal basket are 3".... works extremely well.... had 4 of the biggest butts i found.... well 3 butts and a bone in shoulder.... Check : UDS at max capacity post...

    Char griller super pro w/sfb... small grill in sfb.... also has a coal pan & grate for the main chamber with it.... 200 $ is easy on the budget too.....

    Its all on opinion.... i prefer a mix of apple and cherry... mesquite is a little strong.... but ok.... i like it with the beef for sure....

    Good advice on the wrapping... sounds like a good plan with the thermo's added into it!! Have fun.... PS- I didnt see the entertainment part of the plan... drinks and music??? lol have fun with the smoke!

    the 2-2-1 method is great advice!! after a few tries you can adjust the times .... this is a guide! also make sure the thermometer your using is accurate!! most stock ones run from30-40 to over 100 degrees off....

    first, I used an 18 inch weber charcoal grate for the bottom of the coal basket and only put 2 or 3 inck pipe npple feet on it and i don't have a prob. with ash smothering it during a smoke.... then went down i think 12 inches from the top and used SS eyebolts to hold the 22 1/2" weber grate...
