Thinkng of putting a pan of beans under my pork shoulder. To cook plus catch dripping. Make a cowboy beans with a ill smoke flavor. Anyone ever try this.

I smoked some legs and thighs in the bradley classic. First time using this smoker. Turned out flawless.
Mixed 1/2 butter
1.5 T thyme
1.5 T garlic powder.
Rubbed under and on top of skin
2.5 at 250f

So 4th of July is a COOKOUT DAY for this family. Anyone have "big smoking" day ahead of them?
I have 20lbs of pork shoulder and 7 lbs of tri tip for my wife and I guest.
I also purchased some new toys for the cookout.
