I know, It's been said before but it bears repeating.
Todd is the bomb!
Sent him a PM concerning a problem I was having generating smoke with his A-Maze-N-Pellet smoke generator. Bam!!!
Immediate reply and we have the problem resolved.
You can't ask for a better man and a place to do...
Looks super! When I first started reading this I thought maybe you had gotten a new welder (not). Looking forward to the finished product with some QVue of some finished products.
Nope, no hope.....put an address label on the cooler with roast inside send it my way and I'll dispose of it for you.
Try a sauce on it and you'll be good to go.
benfrench,
I've used a small V-8 can and filled it half full with my favorite beverage and smoked like a beer-butt chicken. Came out good and moist too.
Dick
Thanks everyone for your comments.
More info on the MES 30. After doing some looking around I have come to the conclusion the inside dimensions are a bit small for me. Think I'll keep looking and go for one a little larger.
I can do what I need to do for now with what I have.
Getting ready...
Welcome Ted,
N.C. Smoky Mountain area is probably one of my favorite places.
Keep those smoke posts coming. Pretty soon you'll be posting pics for all to see.
Dick
Thanks raptor700. Appreciate the info.
Brisket is out and ready for it's debut.
I think it turned out pretty nice------and looks good too.
MONEY SHOT! Here you go Bear.
Just a hint of smoke flavor, perfect for the wife. She's slowly coming around.
Two things:
First, MES 30 all black digital at Lowes $179 last one will sell for $20 off. Good deal or not....? I know, dumb question, sure it's a good deal. Would it be the smoker to start with? It seems a little small to do Spareribs on so would probably have to split them. Does this...
Sorry again, I guess.
Just saw reg price was $499.99 and was $120. Off it might be a deal.
Guess not.
I don't do Sam's so was not aware of their price.
Looks like you're on the road to Smoke Land. I would probably forego the soldering iron and opt for one of Todd's AMZNPS. Can't be beat for performance and his customer service is tops.
Probably too late for this one butt, there's bound to be more where this came from.
Not knowing much about pastrami am I reading this right? It lost almost half it's weight while getting smoked? I thought I would give this a try and was going to try to figure out how much I wanted to make.
Thanks, meateater. Don't know how you got it - it didn't work for me. I tried the WIKI. After things settle around here I'll try another. I smoked two pork loins, (I know it didn't happen if there are no pictures.) so will try to get them up as well. They turned out pretty good if I do...
Still not able to get pictures. Maybe using a MAC has something to do with it....???? I haven't given up. Have patience with me. I do want to show what I did.
