    Does smoke wash off?

    That's very odd. With hickory you should have gotten a good smoke flavor. I could see if you used a lighter flavored wood. Hope some one can help you out. Maybe next time try apple juice,and spiced rum for your spray and see if that helps. Jason

    Found asparagus yesterday

    I usually find it in the ditches along the road. The best time to figure out where it's at is in the summer when it goes to seed. It looks like a fern I look for bigger clumps of it. It makes it easier to find in the spring. Instead of looking for a spot where you saw one stem of it. Jason

    That would be a good idea to make a map or a log to remeber where it's at. That's when I try to find new patches when it goes to seed. I cooked up what I found today put garlic powder,butter ,and the asparagus in a foil pouch and threw it in the smoker. No smoke flavor but I was able to cook...

    Here's the ribs and yardbird off the smoker. Here's some of the fatty cut up. I put mushrooms,roasted garlic alfredo, and mozzerela cheese in it. Then I wrapped it with bacon. Rolling the fatty up and sealing it can be a challenge. I might have put to much in it though. It was very good. I...
