I don’t inject but I do the same method for hot/fast and low/slow. I wrap around the 160F or when the bark looks nice. I add a little broth or tallow to the wrap but keep it simple. Salt pepper and maybe a little garlic or onion. IMO Hot/fast makes a better flat, low/slow makes a better point...
I don’t plan on freezing it. It’s going to a few different families for Christmas/New Years dinners. I’ve had fresh steaks that browned pretty fast in the fridge after vacuum sealing. It’s something about the lack of oxygen in vacuum sealed bags? Don’t want to jeopardize the freshness by...
These 2 were well deserved. Congrats guys. I thought this contest was for BBQ Competition boxes lol. I think mine was #2. I learned a lot for next time.
So after my bad review of the Cuisinart I figured I should switch it up. I was in Home Depot yesterday and saw some smokers on sale. Decided to pick up the Nexgrill 29” smoker for $129. It was the last one and they let me buy the floor model so I didn’t have to put it together. Definitely the...
Yeah absolutely JJ. A tube would definitely help for an additional $20. But I just don’t feel like you should have to add anything to a smoker. A smoker should smoke. I’m sure the Cuisinart checks some boxes but it’s just not for me. There are way more more affordable options out there
I appreciate the input. I start and finish all my smokes at 250F unless I’m going hot and fast. One of the complaints I’ve seen from other peoples online reviews is that there is no “smoke” mode or any way to adjust how much smoke you get. And of course I could add a smoking tube but I...
haha thanks! I pick the meat from the fat then chop it all together with cleavers. I wish it tasted as good as it looked. Sadly without any smoke flavor it just tasted like basic roast pork
So you might have seen my thread a couple weeks ago

I found Walmart marking down a bunch of smokers and grills and decided to buy the Cuisinart Clermont Pellet Grill & Smoker. Marked down from $700 to $350. I’ve been using it a...
Yeah I saw this post in the forum but it’s 9 years old. And only one person said they even tried food from one and it was mushy garbage. Curious if anybody has used or owned one since then?
So as some of you might know I’m always buying and testing new smokers and accessories. I came across this Cajun Express Pressure Smoker that claims to cook ribs in 45 minutes. At $1000+ for the smallest model I’m hesitant to purchase it. I can’t really find any non biased reviews or genuine...
.
lol yeah the windows on smokers usually don’t last long. Ive had them on a couple MESs.
They were marking down a few other smokers, a bunch of grills, and all the camping stuff too
If you’re looking to try a new smoker check out Walmart ASAP. I noticed yesterday that they were marking down a lot of summer and bbq stuff. Picked up a Cuisinart Clermont Pellet Smoker. It was marked down from $700 to $350. Reviews online seem to be pretty good. I just got rid of 2 smokers...
