You never know what you are going to get at the supermarket. I've had jalapenos that tasted more like bell pepper, and had jalapenos so hot I could barely eat them. I do agree with the others; cooking them longer should kill a little more of the heat...
May have to take another trip to Costco and start planting the Foodsaver seed in the wifes mind. Usually, if I can make it like it was her idea, she will be all for it.
Unfortunately I don't have a vacuum sealer. I saw a Foodsaver at Costco, and thought about nagging the wife for a change about buying something useful, but we are trying to put some money aside for other stuff right now...
Might just have to cut them in half and bag them.
I picked up a package of babybacks today at Costco. It's just me and the wife this weekend, so I doubt we can eat all three racks on our own. What is the best way to package them so that I can put them in the freezer for a while? Thanks!
I use a big wad of paper towels with a little canola or vegetable oil drizzled on it to help them burn longer. Works good. Burns better and starts quicker, in my opinion.
Good score Ron! I usually get mine at Costco for almost twice as much. I am going to have to start foraging around at our local grocery to see if I can find some good deals.
I prep and rub mine the night before, then wrap or cover and put in the fridge to cook the next day. Wrap them good, or else your fridge will smell like raw rubbed ribs!
Sorry guys, but I have to disagree with most of you... I have had a small set of these knives for about 14 years now, and I couldn't be more pleased. Yes, they are expensive, but I have never had a problem with them going dull other than the non-serrated ones, which will need occasional...
Welcome Adam. On the left side of the page you will notice the 3-2-1 method for smoking ribs. I was able to do this on a Weber with great results. I am sure you will do fine with your new smoker. If not just ask around, and you are sure to get help. Good luck, and enjoy practicing!
