    Im going to smoke a boston butt for 10 hours should i baste at all or just let it smoke,will it dry out,any suggestions?

    I have a sunbeam meat thermometerand its labeled different meats,it says pork 170,do i just stick it into the 10 pound boston butt and just leave it in there till it reaches 170?Also as soon as it hitts 170 does that mean its done or leave it longer,any input will help never used it.

    Im gona marinade a boston butt over night with spanish mojo should i stab wholes in the meat so the marinade gets inside or not,just not sure if thats good or bad.

    long cooking time?

    I got a 9.53 pound boston butt and 1.5 hours per pound comes to like 14 hours how am i suposed to smoke that long without waking up at 5am,where tryen to eat at 5pm,any suggestions?

    I just bought a 9.52 pound boston butt and im gona smoke it on an electric smoker,with no adjustable temp.I have a meat thermomater,my quistions is any guess on the time,I think the smoker stays about 225-240 any estamates will help.
