    Yeah its a curved bottom with a heavy grate attached to it, so I flipped it upside down so it curves upward towards the cooking grate.

    Thanks guys. Can't wait to get started. And yes, mnola and I go waaaay back. He's the one who suggested the site. Just recently saw some posts, and I have added the tubing to my chimney to grate level. Can't wait to do a shoulder.or a brisket.

    I have the same grill and I just wanted to know why you added the extention to the chimmney on the charcoal side.  Am I missing a secret somewhere?  Food looks amazing btw

    Hey I'm Charlie, from Long Island and live in Florida now.  I use a chargriller duo setup.  Generally prefer and blend of Hickory, Mesquite, and Cherry wood when I do ribs.  Have not done any smokes longer than six hours, so really excited for some insight from this forum.
