    Taking the Plunge

    Hickory gives the best flavor on ribs that I've found. I mix it with cherry sometimes for something different. Hope this will help. Jason

    Help on Ribs

    With the fish go with fruit wood for the lighter flavor. Fish is a lot easier to penetrate with smoke than say a pork butt. Maple is a lighter wood to. With ribs I would stay with hickory though and maybe mix some cherry in. Jason

    smoked bacon cheeseburgers with a twist

    Found bb's on sale !!!!!

    I got 3 racks of bb's for 2.77 a # today. It's the first time I've seen them on sale in over a year. They're usually 3.99 a# so I was happy to find them for that price. Wish I had more funds I would've bought more and put in the freezer. That's the way it goes though. Jason

    Apple, Hickory or Maple For Briskett

    I agree with hickory. Especially with beef it needs the stronger flavor hickory has. Try something different go with hickory. You can always mix some apple in with the hickory if you want. Richtee is right about mesquite I don't think it adds very much flavor tried it a few different times...

    What type of wood is this???

    It almost looks like oasge orange or hedge as some people call it. I say that beacause of the yellowish orange color of the wood. I could be right or I could be wrong. Jason

    Smoking Chicken

    If you have a deep fryer, smoke the chicken for 2 1/2 to 3 hrs. then deep fry it. I read a thread about with turkey should be just as good with a yardbird. That will get you your smoke and crisp skin. Hope this helps. Jason
