    Need some cajun gumbo help

I actually prefer a lighter rue, it can get bitter if not careful trying to make the perfect batch, I like to make rue with butter most of the time but seen a lot of folks say they only use it to make seafood dishes

    "Dispatching" Skunks

I won’t put up with a skunk hanging around, they can carry rabies so no matter what you do with 1 wear some rubber gloves if you handle anything that they touch

    Freezing Meats???

The only thing I don't vac is ground meat, large items tend to freezer burn less, I will pull out steaks or roasts thaw and grind. I have been vac sealing for probably 25 years, 2-4+ deer a year, meat is still good 2-3 years if vac not lost.

Leave prime rib out until room temp before cooking?

You all ever heard of 140/4 hours just saying, i season the day before and straight from the fridge to smoker. Setting thick items out for a couple hours might not raise the internal temperature very much.

Alternative to filling propane tank with water ?

Propane will lay in the bottom and might take quite awhile to leach out of the tank, propane is heavier than air.

Alternative to filling propane tank with water ?

A radiator shop owner I use to know would run exhaust fumes into gas tanks while he welded them up if he had to patch a leak. I ain't that brave but he died at a very old age and it wasn't by blowing up :emoji_laughing:

Christmas rib roast: smoke or no smoke?

Good beef and seasonings do not require burnt spices to be great. Maybe try it sometime when it's not a big holiday. Always smoke mine.

89 cent Kroger honey spiral sliced ham

Bought a Honey spiral Friday, over charged me, wife went back yesterday and got $17 and change back, I hate having to fight or go back to get discounts properly done, I hate ringing my own grocery's up but might have to start, picked up 2 rib roasts for $5.99 and they rung those up correctly.
