Great write up and awesome pizza Al! I've got one and it's just me and my lady so we make two pizzas. I use charcoal and wood chunks and cook at 700 degrees. It takes fuel to keep it that hot! I'll use splits next time, I have to reload chunks for the second pizza. You can't beat the flavor...
Were the slices pull apart tender? If not, it needed a little longer cook, but then you risk over cooking the thinner part of the flat. I think you did great!
